Mr Daniel Cheong Chun Hui

Daniel graduated from the University of London with an LLB (Hons) Degree in 2004. He was called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in 2009. Soon after, he commenced practise at Messrs Cheah Teh & Su and then Messrs Michael Chow. During his early legal career, he was also an in-house legal manager for a public listed oil and gas and industrial services company, for which he continues to act as an ad-hoc consultant. He became a partner of the firm in 2019.

His areas of practice include corporate, commercial and general litigation, specialising in debt recovery, bankruptcy, winding up and insolvency proceedings, company and shareholder disputes, contractual and tortious interference and arbitration proceedings. Daniel has acted for clients in various commercial litigations and arbitrations and has appeared at different levels of the Malaysian Courts, from the Subordinate Courts up to the Federal Court.

Also, he has acted and advised clients on matters relating to the preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts, shareholders, share-sale and joint venture agreements.
